For the kids

Our parents want us to be just like them
but if we are different then they condemn.
We can't be perfect which parents don't get
all the pieces we put together simply don't fit.
They hate the idea that we have changed
too think that we have become deranged.
They don't know what it's like to be confused
which is all the kids that get brutally abused.
They hate the idea that we smoke and drink
but it's hard sometimes and we don't think.
Though parents think we know who to trust
even though they are full of disgust.
Parents ruin our lives and tell us we fail
which is why most kids wind up in jail.
